Sam Boune
I have just lay down 437 pages of the new Sam Bourne book, The Chosen One. It is said that he is the greatest challenger to Dan Browns crown. Well I don't think the crown belongs to him any more.I have been an avid reader of his work for a long time now and I believe that, though his writing may be more simple, but his topics are eventful, current and above all mind-grippingly exciting. And i don't know why. In a way the story lines are rather predictable, twisting and turning, writhing even to its ending. I kind of like it like that though, the idea that makes you think and question more or less everything. Like mention of a figure watching someone, or the occasional slip of suggestion of a characters surroundings that, coupled with an exciting soundtracks makes perfect blockbusting sense. And that is what i see within his books. When i read them its almost like they play out on a reel within a cinema. It wouldn't be hard for them to translate the literature into a screenplay and in the hands of the right people make it an enviable thriller.... much better than the Da Vinci Code even though Hanks did the best job he could, despite the drivel he'd obviously been given. The review of this book would be a 7 star book with a loos down ending, at least it was for me anyways. But fuck it, it a good book and I think that anyone who remotely enjoys Brown then they will enjoy a thickly cultural advancement with the books of psydemned author Sam Bourne.
